The Bishop of Durham, Tom Wright, writes an extremely popular set of commentaries, certainly released here in England but i seem to think they've also been realeased in America.

Basically they include a new translation of the bible by Wright, coupled with detailed commentary notes. I've been meaning to get a couple of them for a while and was hoping that a few wise souls here would be able to help inform my decision. From what i gather he is more from the evangelical side of the church, but i was wondering if anyone could perhaps me a little more specific about his theology (especially his eucharistic theology).

Does anyone here own a few?

I absolutely LOVE Wright...I think he's evangelical theology fits in with Catholic theology pretty well. I download his talks and burn them on CDs so I can listen to them in my car. Check out his webpage and look at his writing and listen to his talks. I've never heard him address Eucharist so I don't know much about that..

I have just read his small booklet on the Eucharist (The Meal Jesus Gave Us) which was very good. Now I've started his book on Paul: What St. Paul Really Said which is excellent! It seems that he does nothing less than destroying the exegetical basis of Lutheran theology (as Paul never meant to say what Luther made of it). Very good!

too cool....I was up last night looking up some of his stuff..I'm serious when I say he's converting my worldview to an evangelical Anglican...though I'm not there yet!! I have a question also and I think I'm going to email him...he has truly become my theologian of choice! When I think of something to ponder..I look to what he says if he's spoken on the subject. Is there such a thing as a theological groupie?? ROFL...
