Congratulations, leading worship is a great blessing (I couldn't get by with out our Lectors). Does your church do Morning and Evening prayer? It's a wonderful way for the Lecors to explore the liturgy and see if they feel a calling to higher orders.

Serving God and a community is a wonderful blessing from God, be happy in your service.

We do Evening Prayer on Tuesdays and the last Sunday of the month. Morning Prayer on Sunday starting this fall, most likely. I am a lector at Rite I mass.

Hmmm... Am I a lector, since I've done that at least twice now? We're a bit unofficial at St. Helena's in that regard... we have a signup sheet for the Prayers of the people, the readers and the crucifer...
