These two books are for men/women respectivly, and look at the core desires of our hearts as a reflection of how we can know God and how we can know and understand ourselves as men and women better.

I read Wild At Heart first (because Captivating is only very new), and was amazed by it, but I was blown away by Captivating. I'm just after the workbook now so I can spend time really praying through it.

Anyone else read them? What did you think?

That's the one. Captivating is by John and Stasi Elderidge. Would definitly recommend it! (It's much better for girls!)

Yeah; I was reading Wild at Heart because a bunch of guys at my church had read it, and I was curious (and nosey). The book was pretty good, and certaintly enthusiastic, but I was rather bothered by Mr. Eldridge's theraputic approach to life; he even goes so far as to directly imply that people who have little to nothing against their parents that needs working out with God and a councelor, then they're untrustworthy and in denial! Is that what he wants his own sons to think ten years from now? That is not cool.

Didn't get that impression, but then again, I come from a deeply wounded family, so I don't think I'd have noticed if he did... but if he does, fair point. Not good.

I'm only a third of the way through Captivating and I absolutely love it. Feels good to be a girl now :D
