My wife (TxAimee (http://www.christianforums.com/u89174)) and I are getting baptized tomorrow afternoon! :) I was baptized as an infant in the Episcopal church (my father was an Episcopal priest). Being baptized now as a believer is something that I have been wanting to do for a while now... Aimee and I wanted to find our home church here in Austin before we were baptized... After a long search, we finally landed where we feel God wants us to be. We are going to be members of a non-denomonational church here called Gateway Community Church (www.gatewaychurch.com (http://www.gatewaychurch.com)). Aimee grew up Baptist, but had been attending a very contempoary church in Houston... It was still a difficult decision for her to move into a non-denominational church, but after much prayer and visiting we decided this is where we are meant to be. The church is very traditional in their application of Biblical principles. It is so nice to be at a place that we can finally call "home".

Keep us in your prayers... God Bless!

I was baptized in late October. Do you guys do it outdoors, or something?

Yesterday Aimee and I were baptized. It was such a wonderful day! A family in our church has a ranch (yes... we are in texas) that is right on a creek that feed one of our local lakes. The Church uses their property and this creek to perform most of their baptisms. There were 44 people baptized lastnight! Aimee and I were the first two... :) We were both in the water together, I helped the pastor steady her... then she helped him steady me. It was one of the best experiences of my life! Praise God!

After the baptism we had a great praise and worship service, bar-b-que and fellowship. It was a really amazing day! :)
