I like your song, Alaska! I remember that song when it came out. Bet you don't!! :D

Anyone ever heard these songs (that were all popular songs in the '50s)?

Providing you are on the same time as Florida, you can count us ahead of you by 14 hours.

Remember also that you are on daylight savings time.....and we are not.

LOL, Australia has a couple of 30 minute time zones - to really confuse you. I just quit setting my watch when I was there! :D

Alaska:

Alley Oop Oop
There's a man in the funny papers we all know,
Alley Oop Oop, Oop, Oop-oop;
He lived a-way back a long time ago,
Alley Oop Oop, Oop, Oop-oop . . . .

The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane
I can't remember the words to this one, but initially, it sounds a bit suggestive, then you find out that the song is about a baby girl.

Primrose Lane
Primrose Lane,
Life's a holiday on Primrose Lane . . . .

The Autumn Leaves
This one is a fabulous piano piece. If you love piano, try to find it. My sister used to play it, and I have never heard it enough.

He
This one was on the radio in the mid-fifties. I need to find the words for this one for you. fabulous.

Don't Send Those Kids to Sunday School
Some boys are good boys,
Some boys are not;
You can tell by every boy
The kind of dad he's got.

Chorus:
Don't send those kids to Sunday school --
Get out of bed and take 'em;
You wouldn't want to go by yourself,
Don't let them feel forsaken
Don't send those kids to Sunday school,
Go right along with the golden rule,
Do everything that a dad should do --
Get out of bed and take 'em.

But my favorite song of all from that era: Red Sails in the Sunset. The ocean is in my blood, and this was the last song on my favorite radio station every night.

I'm up late at times reading or posting.

Our Father on the other hand has one time zone and it is called Yesterday, Today and Forever. ;)
