Happy to be His

On Monday June 18th in my daily bread the title is Creative Connections.

It talks about creation, weather it is a pinederby car or Gods creations of man. I have read this lots of times. My dear hubby asked the question who is us, I told him that he was talking about Jesus....That answer didn't sit good. Now he gave me ( and I looked them up ) a few referance scriptures and they had in them us, host, councel. The verses will follow maybe someone can give me some insight on these verses. I always believed them to be talking about the Father,Son and Holy spirit.....Maybe I was wrong..........

Genesis 1:26 ( starting verse)
Genesis 3:22, 11:7 Isaiah 6:8, I Kings 22:19-23, Job 15:8, Jeremiah 23:18

I hope someone can shared some light...:help:

I'm not sure I understand the question. I believe Gen 1:26, 3:22... are referring to the "plurality" of the One God, the Trinity. Jesus, the Son of God did the actual work of creating (John 1:3), but it was the Father that kind of orchestrated it. Hebrews 1:2 says that "God... hath... spoken unto us by His Son,... by whom... he made the worlds." (I took out the extra words just to get the sentence I was looking for).

Maybe a rephrase of the question would help me understand better.

ok, each of the scriptures either has us, host, councel in it and we were thinking it was more than just God involved in all of the creation.??? I should know this....Does that explain it a little better????

It was only God that created. There was nothing before God created something except for God. That is, only God is eternal. So, therefore the plural "us" must be the Father talkign to the Son, or something along those lines. I think Hebrews 1:1-2 is a good support for this when it says the Father made the worlds by His Son.

Us would be reference to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. There is some debate over this which is as it should be. The Trinity is implicit, not explicit. The Trinity is also meant to be a mystery.
Host generally refers to His host of messengers and helpers ( Angels and other spiritual beings ).
Council usually refers to one of two things. 1) A group that advises 2) Advice, wisdom, knowledge given or received.

Yep, and John Chapter 1, can't remember the verse numbers, but they read, "In the beginning was the Word, and Word was with God, and Word was God. All things were made by Him, and without Him, was not anything made that was made."
