I dont like them. For a start to me their tone, language and sentiment is not positive and not reaching out in love with the gospel.
peace:)

Oh, lovely!
About the KJV only thing -- this occurred to me the other day: What should people who don't speak English read? Do they have to learn English in order to be able to read the "infallible Word of God?" Are non-English speakers out of luck? Do the KJVer's know that there are people on this planet who do not speak English?

My favorite link to a KJV-only tract was the one that maintained that the KJV is the only proper translation because it was compiled by a King and monarchy is God's preferred of government. I'm not kidding, someone actually said that. And he was Baptist. I wonder if we should tell him that the only denomination the monarch of England officially approves of today is Anglicanism? ;)

LOL! I love it -- we can be Anglican-onlyer's. One of the tracts on this website did say something about it being commissioned by a "God-ordained English King".

:amen: I think this man is too... ;) Using the Holy Scriptures to back up Capital Punishment, and hate (see "Southern Cross")... then saying that we 'should judge' Makes me so sick! .

Didja see the one where he says that "hell" is an actual, physical place located in the center of the earth -- directly beneath our feet!

That's a classic example of why I'm glad that "reason" is part of the Anglican three-legged stool! :)

Sorry, I'm afraid actually that's not true. The queen is anglican in England, presbyterian in Scotland.

The KJV-only handbook 'Fighting Back!' is such flawed logic that it's extremely funny!

ROFLOL! ^_^ Never been there, heard it's quite nice! ;) I wonder how many churches are in Hell? :P
For the record, I believe in the realm of the dead (ie: Paradise, and Hades) and in the final judgement... and the final place you'll spend eternity, that being one place or the other.

IMO however the KJV was an amazingly good translation, as a translation it has stood the test of time even though its quaint and difficult generlally for modern readers, for study its very valuable I have to say there on the whole Chick Tracts are crammed with truth as well as some bizarre things. Its just that they seem to be designed to shock rather encourage. The gospel convicts us of the truth on its own without any shock and condemnation which I feel is the underlying presentation.
