feeling GREAT after church today? I am!
Our regular preacher was at a convention, and Brother Mike, who preached... reallyyyyy confused us all if nothing else! The message was revival.. I get that... but everything else he said went way over our heads! He went off on a tangent every 2 minutes (he's a little... old... not that it MEANS anything..he just goes off a little sometimes..). Oh well, we all had a great time laughing, singing and praising the Lord!
Amen!

:) Our pastor was probably meeting with your pastor at the SB convention in Nashille today. He was out too. We had a friend of mine preach about giving and evangelizing and love. Superb sermon. Then he showed us pictures from his recent missionary trip to Ethiopia. Very moving.

I'm not exactly what you would call "feeling great" but I'm okay none the less.
It is father's day...and while I had a great time with the girls celebrating and honoring my DH today....the other part of me...
the 35 year old little girl who's father abandonned her still aches.
The point is....
If you're a father not living with your children...be there for them anyway....find ways...make the time...even if it's phone calls...to let them know that you love them...that they matter to you...
those small actions that show your child that they matter....they last a lifetime and impact your children in a way you will never totally understand...
How will your children remember you?

Sorry to hear that... I pray God will be evermore the "Father to the fatherless" for you.
I have 4 kids. Thanks for the reminder.
