Hey all.

While waiting to hear about my first book to see if it will be accepted for publishing, God has really laid something on my heart that I would like to begin as my next writing project. I think I'm going to title it: God Asks for the Insane

I would like to hear some stories about radical (well what the world views as radical) steps of obedience people have taken to follow the Lord. Like for instance my cousin left a 50,000 dollar a year job to work at a local Walmart so he can focus on Children's Ministry.

If anyone has followed in a step of radical obedience or know of anyone who has, I would like to interview them. I'm really trying to focus on obedience and how important it is. So any, ANY, help will be much appreciated, and if all you can really do is offer your prayers, then that will help tremendously as well.

Thanks  ,
SIH

I left a $60,000 a year job in December and took a $7 an hour job so I could devote more time to my ministry. My sister is leaving a good job and taking a different job because she believes it is God's will for her, and she's not even a devout Chrisitan (well, she's really not even a Christian, but she is willing to step out in faith because she wants to trust God.) Lots more people do this kind of stuff everyday than you would even believe!

I currently have the ability to go to medical school (the new state I am in would accept me with the scores that my old state would not), but am turning it down to follow what God is asking, which is to finish my Master of Arts of Religion, to go to teach in seminary and write for Him.

To everyone,

Thank you so much for answering my call. I'm going to be PM'ing everyone and hopefully get in contact through IM's and such. If you don't hear from me soon, don't worry as I know this will be a long process and I'm going to be making questions and so forth. I just want people to see what God can do through one faithful follower and how He always provides for those who are doing crazy things just to be closer for Him.

Ooh, I'm getting goosebumps and all excited over here;)

God called me to a music ministry when I hadn't even played a piano in 11 years....for 4 years I've played for our church, for no pay, with no piano in the house, (until Feb or Mar of this year!) and then while I'm laid off for winter, puts me into service in a faith based battered women's shelter. I'm still not back to work, and at this point I don't see me returning...He's got plenty of work for me...even if there's no paycheck involved LOL

I thought being laid off would be a vacation...man was I wrong LOL!
