I found a church!!!! [Archive]

I am so excited. I found a church that sounds just perfect for me. I looked at many websites and talked to a lot of people. I just got off the phone with the Pastor's wife at a local Baptist church. It sounds like everything I am looking for. It is small....40-50 people, their beliefs follow mine, beliving in the bible and worshiping the Lord. Wonderful fellowship oppurtinties. And when I said I might be there Sunday, depending if my husband can take me, she said she could give me rides, or a few other memebers could too b/c they live right by me. Had such a wonderful converstaion with the Pastors wife. I feel without a doubt this is the church for me. I feel so happy inside. :clap:

Awesome, hopefully, this is the place for you. Keep praying though, and make sure that the Holy Spirit gives you peace about it before you get too attached. I'm very happy for you.

Yes I do continue to pray for the Lord to lead me to the right church. I do feel really good inside about this church. :)

I notice that you have stated "I feel . . . " in a lot in your posts. Make sure that you're not basing this decision on your feelings as feelings can mislead you. Pray and make sure it's God's Will.

Oh yes, I have been praying too. :) It may or may not be the right church for me, I know the Lord will lead me to the right place.

Hey, Dianna - remember that at some point the gloss is going to wear off and you are going to start to see these wonderfully beautiful people for the sinners that they truly are. You might see some church politics or some interpersonal issues to which your reaction might be to draw back...

Don't let it put you off - *THAT* is when you have the opportunity to begin to grow lasting, intimate relationships with them and become a true member of the community. Remember that we are all sinners - and rejoice because God loves us anyway!

But...........IF... after a while you should find that you must resume your church search, do not become discouraged. I really do believe that for us in the U.S. we are in our end times. I had to try 5 different churches in just a couple of years before I actually found a good one.

Well hopefully this will be the right church, but if I find it is not, I know it is God leading me to the right one. :)
