Ahavah... why does it offend you that others here love to discuss seriously and debate and what-not? Obviously it offends you enough to make many comments about how everyone just needs to "lighten up", and frankly there's a very disdainful, down-on-others-who-are-different-from-you attitude that comes through with it. I guess I just don't understand. No one ever comes on the playful threads and says, "what's WRONG with you people?? Why are you ___________________________ (fill in the blank with something judgmental toward those who are playing)?!!"

Why not let people discuss what they will, without casting some kind of negative light onto it? I don't get it.

Wow. Well, I consider myself blessed be included in that serious-person category some of the time. It may be almost all of what people see of me here, but I also thank G-d there is SO far much more to me than merely this forum... and no one here would begin to have the first clue. I would say I tend to be more introspective and serious than usual when I am pregnant -- nearly dying a few times over the last five years kinda did that to me.

Sad to me you won't answer my sincere and tender trying-to-understand-where-you-are-coming-from question... or I suspect even entertain it and consider where I am coming from with any gentleness, yourself.

What on EARTH have I ever done to you or yours to warrant this kind of a response from you? I know there have been moments when I have felt you have hastily misinterpretted my words and meanings in other threads and I have tried not to do that back to you but to just stay on topic and bow out. But I didn't realize you have such strong feelings against me. And yes, it is your problem... Oy you think others make assumptions? It's your choice how you want to see anything -- see this is why I avoid the joking threads -- it is so easy to misinterpret tone!!

Since I am obviously one of the horrible serious posters here, I thought I would ask -- and yes, my tone and my intent were entirely loving and hoping to understand the reason behind Ahavah's posting this afternoon... we're not all a bunch of stodgy old frowners who argue too much, so I wondered why the 'tude in her posts... and yes, I had tremendous fun with the other thread until the end, where it seemed to me you all were not laughing with but more like laughin at. If this kind of thread and comments are your idea of peaceful, you can keep it -- and far away from me.

My apologies -- I just asked because you started a thread (based on the other one) and said it was for serious stuff. And I wanted to seriously know why you seem bothered, often, by the seriousness of this forum. I absolutely didn't intend any offense or problem, but I suppose you won't choose to believe that either.
