This past weekend my neighbours were over for a BBQ, my parents invited them because they showed interest in things about Jehovah God.
The child aged 5 was showing me the latest gimic connected with a 'happy meal', he held a container made of plastic in the shape of some ugly animal head with a flip top lid. This container had a button (the nose of the animal) in the shape of the goats head complete with horns. When the lid opened he proudly showed me the 'doom master' cards within, mostly dark with ugly monsters or machines designed to kill on them. More interesting were the suptle images within the cards of horns and goats heads upon weapons.
He was excited, all the kids at school were 'into them' he is 5 :(
These meals are promoted to reach from 3 - 7 year olds. We asume that this innocence is being protected with 'happy' toys connected with the meal. Yet how devious is satan in getting little eyes to focus on this.

The fast food chain probably just picked a TV show or movie that was popular. Kids' meals sell better when they have a toy of some popular show. I see the main problem with the parents allowing the child to watch and/or play with these. Exposure to violence at a young is not mentally healthy.
Just some of my thoughts.

Can I add something to ponder...
Ever heard of those little tracking devices that hospitals wants parents to put in their infants incase of later they are kidnapped? Sounds wonderful dont it?
NOT!!! I have not did much research on it, so I dont know if any infants received them or what... but to me it sounds like future references of the end of times, so people can be tracked during tribulation.......
saves satan work later...
Yes, if you look around you can see satan everywhere, its so hard, its almost like you want to shelter your kids inside the house and never let them out, but thats not healthy either... Whats really sad is satan makes these toys/movies etc so appealing to kids and then they are of course not the "popular" kids because they dont have a certain toy, movie or video game.. Then you have to worry, are they playing that or watching that at their friends house..

Gee, here in the States our happy meals have little stuffed dogs and cats in them. I guess McD's knows American parents would freak if they found the doom master toys in a happy meal!

Satan is much more clever than that (see 2 Cor 11).
He is most likely to be found in a pulpit than in a Happy Meal. Satan's ministers are "the ministers of righteousness."

Yes, however lets not be blind to anything our children are subjected to. ;)

Satan does his best work in religion. That is what we are warned of in scripture. We are clearly taught that he presents himself as "an angel of light"; that his ministers are "the ministers of righteousness"; and that he offers "another Jesus" and "another gospel."
Most of the things people blame on Satan are really just the flesh and the world.
Chasing after things like pentagrams and "Satan's birthday" and other unbiblical nonsense is exactly what Satan wants. "Self-esteem" is wicked doctrine that we have allowed into the church, yet nobody seems worried about that.

Right.
Well, I have seen some pretty awful stuff in my kids Happy meals.
If Satan cannot have us, why not attack the kids? After all, they are innocent for awhile.
James,
I TOTOALLY agree with you.
I stopped buying happy meals for my kids when my daughter got a toy coffin with a zombie that popped out of it. WHat a NICE toy huh?

Wow, thats terrible, parents have to be so careful and big food chains also diligent.
Kids are kids for such a short time, why spoil that with the complications of movies and toys that are evil?

Woah guys, aren't we getting a little paranoid? The Bible doesn't say that Satan is a goat, and it doesn't say that people will have chip implants in the end times. The former is a Roman Catholic myth, and the latter is a Left Behind myth.
I agree with those who say that you'll find more of Satan in churches than in happy meals. Personally, I think that happy meal toys are pretty lame, but they certainly aren't demonic. I can see Satan's old tricks every time Pat Robertson and "Reverand" Jesse Jackson say that you've got to vote for certain candidates in order to be a good Christian. I see Satan at work in the election of the gay Episcopalian bishop, who recently expressed public support for Planned Parenthood. And I'm sure Satan has a hand in driving the nations into senseless wars.
But Happy Meals? Come on people; if this was the best Satan could do, we wouldn't need such a powerful God as Jesus to defeat him.

It isn't paranoia to be pointing out that happy meals are containing 'toys' for the 3-7 age group that are dark, the cards that are promoted are not fit for little children. I sit also paranoia to expect that a happy meal contains a toy coffin with a zombie that pops out?
It is true satan is at work in many area's of out lives, in Governments and within churches as stated before. But don't underestimate that the influence and acceptance by society to include such things within a happy meal is tame and bordering on paranoia.

You have a point, but I'm still not convinced that a happy meal toy with horns is satanic. This sounds like the same line of logic that some people used to attack the Harry Potter books. If we Christians decry virtually everything as demonic, people won't take the church seriously when satanic threats really do threaten the world.

Those almost sound like magic cards....a card game similar to pokemon...but much darker...
I'll be on the lookout for those here...ugh....and NOT ordering a "happy meal" but a regualr combo instead....
somehow...I get the feeling I'll be having to stop at the Dollar Store to make up for the toy though LOL...
Thanks...and it is a shame...but Satan knows his time is short, and the end is near...the Lord is returning and he's becoming ever more the ravening wolf trying to devour all he can....

Myth?
Revelation 13
16. And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead,
17. and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.
Revelation 14
9. Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand,
10. he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
11. "And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."

I dont think its a big deal.
The "satanic" imagery is somethign you associate with goats and horns, but it could simply be art, tahts it.
I do agree that its tasteless and too violent, but I dont think anyone intends to promote satan.

You can order a happy meal without the toy and here in Canada that saves you up to $1.79 a meal. They add the toy cost in the the Happy Meal price.

It depends on the Christian as to whether its bad or not. If it is wrong to a fellow brother or sister in Christ that is around you, then don't eat it in front of them. There is no need to cause a fellow Christian to stumble.

How best to get the next generation than to start their acceptance of satanic symbolism and violence at a young age?

I dont' think any of us were saying that Satan was a goat...but a goat with horns is often used in symbology to symbolize Satan...and yes even in the bible he is symbolized by a goat.

Someone made the false statement that Catholics believe Satan is a goat. I was correcting them. I agree with you that the goat imagery is frequently used, I was imply correcting an incorrect assertion about my beliefs.

I suspect that the computer chip of which you refer as being that of satan is from the series, "Left Behind". Left Behind is a novel, and is one interpretation of what will happen during the great tribulation. No where in the does God say computer chip. If the hospital offers tracking devices to parents ( wth parental consent ), then it is a good idea, as parents would be able to track infants and young children for their own safety. If you live where the crime rate, and the type of crimes commited, may cause you to believe that your child's safety may need this device, then offering a parent have their child implanted has nothing to do with satan. It may likewise be useful in anyone whom, because of illess or age wanders off and cannot judge where they are.
If a hospital uses the device as a temporary measure while the patient is in hospital, it would a high tech hospital ID band.
