EAFY? (enough acronyms for you?)
Anyway, thankfully it looks like it may happen according to Orthodoxy Today (http://www.orthodoxytoday.org/blog/index.php?p=965) which posted a PDF from the OCA site. Go to page 19 of the PDF and look for the heading "An Alternative Solution – Should We Withdraw?"

I think not just OCA but all of our Churches should withdraw from all "ecumenical" activities.
This should be immediate.
But, that just me.

Perhaps I didn't look carefully enough, but who wrote that position paper?
I know that a number of OCA members, including Fr. John Reeves, have suggested the entire Orthodox Church withdraw from the WCC, the NCC, the ECC, etc.
On the other hand, there are always liberals who work for the opposite ends.
It would be nice if the OCA were to withdraw from all of those apostate ecumenical organizations.

Yes, this would be wonderful. Lord have mercy.
How much money are the Orthodox contributing to the WCC anyway?

It doesn't say, at least as far as I can tell. I'll probably look for more info tomorrow.
It's time to get out of the NCC though, especially with this (http://www.orthodoxytoday.org/articles5/LomperisNCCSlander.php) kind of nonsense going on.

Good grief!
I agree.
How can we be associated with an organization that would sponsor such things?

I think at one point it helped raise the profile of Orthodoxy in the West to be in such organizations. I think that was the opinion of Fr. Florovsky.
Now they're are just liberal playgrounds, and it's obvious it doesn't help our image at all to be associated with them.

I think its unfortunate that many Orthodox Christians today believe that the WCC serves to promote a "world religion".
Even more unfortunate is how many Orthodox Christians are fiercely opposed to the WCC which serves as a forum of dialogue between Christian groups.

YAYYYYYYYY!!!!
Sorry, I know I'm not much of an "anti-ecumenicist" or whatever, but thank God that (God-willing) no more of *my* money will be going to an organization that openly supports infanticide and bashes orthodoxy.
Imagine staring the martyrs in the face at the last judgment and saying the reason we joined the smug, self-satisfied supporters of the devil was because we thought it would be good for evangelism. (!!!)
Note that I would not mind joining an organization of churches that didn't spend money on things that are clearly anti-Christian. It's not about consorting with Protestants; I think that's good. It's about giving money to *lies.*

Personally, I couldn't care less about the WCC as a possible "world religion." Since Rome isn't involved, it would be a mighty unimpressive "world religion" that probably still wouldn't be as big as the RCC. My problem with the WCC is that they are pro-abortion. Never mind any other heterodox (or even unChristian) belief they might hold, of which there are many. They formed a special committee about us (Orthodox) because our leaders won't get on board with their anti-life rhetoric (among other things). We are a thorn in their side, which is good, but we should figure out some way to be a thorn by our absence, so that our money doesn't go to them and we're not associated with them.

The WCC is not going to foster a single world religion. I put about as much stock in that idea as I did the ideas of the people running around the backwoods of Montana in the 90's talking about the one world government.
I would say right now the candidates for "one world religion" are in order:
Islam
Secular materialism
Evangelical Protestantism
I would worry about those.
