The Common Anglican

I was wondering what was the general consensus of the Eastern Orthodox on this issue. Obvioulsy Anglicans view Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic Orders as valid, but I was wondering if the Orthodox/the Orthodox Church views Anglican Orders as also valid (though seperated bretheren)?

The answer generally ranges from no to we don't know, but generally it is no.

The important questions are whether or not the Anglican Church is the Church or a part of the Church and whether or not it teaches the whole truth.
Apart from that, "Apostolic Succession" is a bit like geneaology: interesting, but not all that relevant.
That is true even - and especially - for Orthodox hierarchs.
We know St. Andrew taught the true Gospel. That is no guarantee his successor, the Ecumenical Patriarch, will.
Many, if not most, of the groups that have left the Church throughout the millenia have been headed by men who could trace their ordination to an Apostle.
Outside of the Church, the pillar and ground of the truth, "orders" and "succession" are meaningless trivialities.
God can raise up a bishop from among the stones if need be.

Anglican priests who convert are ordained outright, not conditionally or simply vested.
Just as an aside I heard this weekend that 30% of the priests coming in to Orthodoxy now in America are former Episcopalians. I was really blown away by that.

We had a former Episcopalian priest chrismated Sunday at our parish.

My priest was an Episcopalian priest.
