A round of applause? OK...

I tried to make a diamond/circle/something semi-round, but it wouldn't let me. Oh well... You get the above instead. Geez, try to do a pun and the system shoots you down. ChrisBot must not have a sense of humour...

I also believe this warrants a round of whatever he wants in the Taverna. What'll it be, Robbo?

Yeah?! Well, your priest wears Birkenstocks under his cassock! No, wait, hold on. That's my priest. Um......

No, my priest wears white socks and sandals, but usually only on Wednesday Vespers.

It is obvious that you guys don't frequent the General Heresies forum nearly enough to know how to start fights. Here goes:

It is extremely important to worship on the correct day, and only on the correct day. Anyone who doesn't believe that is going to hell. Also, drinking is a sin worse than all others combined. Furthermore, Christianity apostacized the moment John died, and was not resurrected until people with the exact same beliefs as me came onto the scene 2 years ago. There was no Bible until it spontaneously appeared, in English, in the 16th century and was given the name "King James" which is Aramaic for "holy." The Crusades never happened. 500 billion Protestants were slaughtered in the Inquisition. Catholics worship everything. Orthodox worship everything, especially pictures.

Enough?

Matrona
14th June 2005, 08:22 PM
Enough?

No. You forgot to mention that all baptisms that take place outside swimming pools are invalid and pagan. Also, the sin that's worse than all others combined is homosexuality, not drinking, obviously. Everyone in TAW is going straight to hell, especially you! Jesus loves you!

No, we are just going to surprise them. Their self-built wall in Paradise isn't high enough nor strong enough to keep us from saying, "Hi". They think that they are the only ones there. My, will my Baptist relatives have a rude awakening. :D :D :D :D

The really rude awakening will be when the worship is liturgical--just like an Orthodox liturgy. No praise bands or praise songs. There are going to be all those "man-made traditions" that they accuse us of.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to katherine2001 again.

:D

Indeed, the Orthodox Divine Liturgy is Heavenly Worship par excellence.

Man-made traditions? The last time I read the Bible, it said that Christ celebrated the Last Supper -- which is the origin of the Divine Liturgy. Our Divine Liturgy which Christ gave us is 99% from the Scriptures.

As you have truly said, Katherine, their 'worship' is deficient with all its praise bands and non-scriptural hymns.

Make some that are chocolate-free and egg-free for those with allergies. Gee, what's left? I guess I'll have to settle for English Biscuits - butter, flour, sugar, and water.

Not to mention that the Last Supper itself was based on the Pesach service, which is so strictly liturgical it is referred to as the "seder" or the "order." Nothing can be done out of order or spontaneously; it is given by God, to free us from our own reasonings.

Yes the particularly long ones, too small font, and where the presenter reads every word written on it... with some utterly tacky background... :P

Well, he got to close his first thread. Too bad it wasn't this one though. Guess we weren't offensive enough.

Maybe this will do it:

ALL WHO ARE DOING POSTING ON TAW IS SERGIAN-ECUMENICIST-PAN-HERETIC!!!! ALL ARE GOING TO BURN IN HELL (except me) !!!!!! IS VERY OUTRAGE TO BE BELIEVING OTHERWISE!!!! ALL ARE PART OF SO-TO-BE-CALLED 'WORLD ORTHODOXY'!!!!!!

That should do nicely. :) Because we all know that to make sure your point is made you have to use large letters and highlight imporant words with various colors. It serves to confuse and dazzle your opponent.
