It is obvious, as an understatement, that many divisions separate members of the Church.
As a member of a home church assembly, I would say the divisions are more obvious in the institutional church assemblies but I really don't know yet.
However, we do know that we all as Christians should and will be like-minded in many ways concerning our faith in Christ.
I would challenge those of us in the home church assemblies and those of the unaffiliated church (and those Christians visiting from other forums) to share tenets of the faith that we would agree as basic to our normal Christian life.
I don't really want to debate. I would rather have fellowship, encouragement and exhortation.
I'll begin with a basic tenet:
God has spoken to us by His Son Jesus Christ, Hebrews 1: 1,2.

I consider that this set of forums has already set up the best way of having all who post agree on that one creed . I would like to have a shorter list but it is vague enough that I am fine with it .

Are you thinking of things to add to what that creed has ? Or , are you looking for something different ?

Well, It is when we put a set of "basic tenets" in the church, that the church begin to split. The problem is that what is basic tenet for someone, it is not for somebody else. So, having a set of doctrines may cause huge problems in the church.

To my mind, the only thing that makes somebody take part actively in a churchlife is that they believe in Christ, that they have accepted Christ in their lives, that they have the indwelling Spirit in them. If Christ has accepted them, we are going to divide the body if we don't accept them. So, the only Doctrine for the church, for the ekklesia, is a Person, and this Person is Jesus Himself.

Being part of a churchlife however, means that there would defenetely be times of crisis. But, if people would try to put set rules/doctrines in order to avoid these crises they are going to limit the work of the Spirit and gradually turn to an organized church, even if she is a home church. The "she" is gradually going to be an "it". The most beautiful girl is going to turn to an imitation of that girl.

"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." Jesus says in Mark 12:30.

Everything about christianity is found in this, amen!
