Any implications here for us to consider?

Too bad they are solidifying their heterodox beliefs by affirming a mutual misunderstanding of the role and nature of Mary.
I'm just about to begin St. John Maximovich's book The Orthodox Veneration of Mary, the Birthgiver of God. I've not really started a habit of regular prayer to Mary, aside from what is included in our daily prayers and an occasional akathist to her, so it will be nice to learn more from St. John.

I am reading The Orthodox Veneration... now. It is quite good. I also bought the Akathist Hymn by Eikona and I've been listening to it non stop in the car :)
On the Anglicans: I think it is unfortunate that they continue to move away from us. It is strange to me that they are moving toward Roman doctrine on the one hand and on the other they are embracing all manner of modern, secular viewpoints (priestesses, an actively homosexual and divorced bishop, etc.) Obviously any hope of intercommunion that some Angicans desire with the Orthodox is impossible.

My immediate reaction to this is that there seems to be no pressing need for this... Anglicanism's problems right now aren't that they've slacked in Marian devotion. Putting the IC and so on aside; it seems like encouraging a stage 4 metastatic ovarian cancer patient to follow the FDA's new food pyramid. It's just like... isn't this a little irrelevant right now?
(And this is said by someone who adores Anglo-Catholicism.)
In IC XC,

A couple months ago I purchased a book of akathists published by Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville. I would highly recommend it. It has several akathists to Christ and the Theotokos, as well as several other popular saints. I also know you can get individual akathists to many many saints printed individually from St. John of Kronstadt press. I hope to order on for my patron, St. Basil the Great, soon.

We are not - the majority of Anglicans are Evangelicals - we will not allow this to stand - if it comes to the final call in a virtual sense between Roman Catholicism or Orthodoxy - all Evangelicals would align with the Orthodox - the reason we are not all Orthodox right now - is that our final eschatological categories are not predicated on Contemplation, Vision and Energy - but Relationship, Prophecy and Substance.

Not really. Perhaps it will just be another nudge for any Orthodox leaning Anglicans. We have a few in our parish.
