My friends,

Please pray for my beloved teacher Mr. Daur who has now passed onto his eternal reward. I wrote a little bit more about him in this post: http://www.livejournal.com/users/daphneisgood/162983.html It's not long and I really wish that some of you would read it because he meant so much to me and I don't want him to just be a faceless name when you pray for his soul.

I love him very much and while this was not unexpected it is still a blow to me. Please pray for him and his family, and me. This is especially hard to take as I feel spiritually weak right now (yesterday due to just not being able to gauge how long the line was from the choir loft, I didn't receive Communion.)

Please pray... thank you...

Christ is Risen!!!

I will pray for him Marjorie. I'm feeling your pain at this time.
At the same time I wish to ask a small favour too. This coming Saturday May 21, my dear dad will have been gone to his reward for one year. He was a good Christian man, though not Orthodox. I never got the opportunity to tell him I was. (I'm sure he's pleased now;) )
Please pray for him that God may have mercy on his soul. I know you never knew him, but I've never met any of you either, and I pray for you too!

I spoke to Father last night and he said it was quite OK to pray for him in our homes, and we may use the Prayers for The Departed in our prayer books.

Thank you one and all.

I'm sad to hear that you couldn't Commune yesterday Marjorie. Our English DL was a bit of a failure on Saturday (Almost nobody turned up) and we felt badly about that. But we did it to the glory of our God - that's what counts anyway.

XB!

Kolya,

Indeed He is risen! Thank you. Of course I will pray for your father... what was his first name? Mr. Daur was also a good Christian man, though not Orthodox-- he was Catholic. But he actually was very drawn to Russian Orthodoxy; we talked about it a few times.

Yes, that *is* what counts.

Rob, thank you as well.

He sounds like a very wonderful, loving teacher, and I know you were greatly blessed to have him in your life.
