Is the Bible going to be replaced by the Quran in America?

Will atheists be allowed to desecrate the Holy Bible and trample on the USA flag, but will the Quran be protected-by-death?

We must pray as the rampage goes on in the Middle East in reaction to the Newsweek negligence. This is treason in my books as it is putting our whole nation in jeopardy. Freedom of the press only goes so far. What Newsweek did is wrong and they should be held accountable for the deaths in Afghanistan.

O Lord Save Thy people and bless Thy inheritance .... through the power of Thy Cross.

God have mercy.

The godless scourge of Islam will never truly triumph, because it is of the devil and Christ has already defeated the devil. Unfortunately, many Christians will suffer and die in the coming years at the hands of the godless infidels, just as the early Christians did at the hands of the godless pagans. There is nothing new under the sun. All we can do it pray.

No, the US just said "Oh-oh" and tried not to get into a mess.

I think the Muslims are just fed up with the US and that was just an excuse to start another war. I hope God will have mercy on our Orthodox brothers and sisters in Lebanon, Terkey, Egypt and other countries with Muslim rule!

The muslims don't have an ax to grind with Orthodox, per se. The basic problem is that they see the "Land of the Free" as the 'devil'.

In fact, there is a muslim gentleman (We live in a VERY pluralistic country) who frames our Icons. He refuses payment to do Theotokos, as they venerate her too. She is known as 'Miriam Bibi' to them.

This so-called Ji-had is fanned by extremists, who are usually in the minority. The news will always pick up on sensationalism.

Just my 2 kopeks.

Or make it up, it appears Newsweek was reporting erroneous information.

I cancelled my subscription. I've had it to balance my subscription to The Economist (which is a much better magazine anyways... I use it a lot for school research).
I refuse to pay for a magazine to potentially put my husband into danger in the future and currently putting his fellow service men into danger.

They profusely apologized and said I hadn't been the only one... which is completely correct. One of my professors works as a translator at Guantanamo (he speaks Yemeni and is the interpreter for the bin Laden driver) and we get some bits and pieces here and there. He said, it's not paradise, but for a fair share of the people it shouldn't be. He said a fair share should not be there, but even tho he is against the war (he gets paid well for doing the work and with a new family it makes a lot of difference) and very liberal... he'd rather the US made no mistakes and let the wrong people go.

Extremists are almost always the minority. They simply stir up the moderates. You never have extremist armies, only armies led by extremists.

That's one of my favorite periodicals! I use it for school as well :)
