Praying for you. But can I ask, what is cccu? Does he need medical help? If it is a medical problem, is there anyone in authority who could suggest that he gets help, and maybe even suggests that he won't be allowed back into his job until he does? The church hierarchies should surely be concerned for him spiritually - as well as the welfare of his flock - and his doctors should be concerned about him physically.
Personally, I would think there is no harm in expressing concern about the situation to someone who may be able to help. If it comes to the worst, the church may close and the congregation be catered for elsewhere. The pastor will still have these problems though.
Forgive me if any of this is out of line, he may not be physically ill at all.

Thank you for your prayers here and your kind responses.
God has been answering prayer regarding the church, our pastor and the issues that I was concerned about. He has gone way beyond what I dreamed for the outcome. God is really healing a lot of folks and restoring us all to walk in HIS footsteps and leading and I praise God for our leadership and God's ways which are not my ways.
Thank you once again for your prayers.

Of course your little post is too small for a definite diagnosis, but it is very possible that the pastor is going through a manic phase of manic-depression. People in such a phase can often appear to be of great faith, they might plan on things like a parish of 100 people building a church that seats 2000 and so on. People who say "whoa" can be criticized as lacking in faith.
It is truly amazing the things that a person who is manic can do. Sometimes they go long periods without sleep, they take on projects that would be overwhelming to others. They can speak with such optimism and authority, it can stop people in their tracks. The problem is, that if this is the case, someday the mania will end, the pastor will slide from all is possible to all is impossible, even the slightest. Then others will start to doubt, "Was it all a lie?" You said the pastor admitted problems, but didn't say what he really admitted to. What he admitted might not be the problem at all, just a symptom of the problem.
It might be a case where it would be best to go outside the congregation and approach someone in your denomination's home office or talk to a pastor of a neighboring congregation about this possibility that the pastor is ill and ask them for help.
Sometimes people get derailed by looking for sin in these cases, they point to the lack of stewardship or the lack of faith and it turns into a big fight, when all the time you should be helping a brother with a mental illness.
May God Bless you all,
Marv

I too am wondering what CCCU is. It seems to be a popular acronym (http://www.google.com/search?q=cccu)

Hello Marv:
This situation has got worse instead of better. The demonination knows this guy better than myself. I am not having much success in handling myself in this situation any better than I was when I first posted the prayer request. I have reconsidered so many times it isn't funny. The final straw was tonight when he admitted to some issues that I can't even voice online. I am sick at heart and sick that he is a minister. I can't get him help because people are snowballed by his smooth words. I had 13 people show up for church today that are unchurched and I am begging for prayer for the safety of those who come through the doors and I am asking for prayer for this man to go get help and to get spiritually well and get his mind well or something.
I am not putting him down. It is just time to say there is a major problem here. BIG TIME~ I am going to shut my mouth and say no more.
I SURE DO appreciate your kindness and prayers and those that any one else can offer up on behalf of the situation. I apologize for taking up time and energies by this post.
God bless.

With all due respect and apologies, am I missing something, or are we not supposed to know what CCCU is?

Actually Chris, I was kind of ignoring it because I felt bad about my post.
I am not embarrassed by who they are it is just that I didn't want to bring reproach to God and to the denomination with my behavior and thoughts that should have been kept to myself.
We have a very serious situation with a leader and I should have prayed first before posting.
I will PM anyone who wants to know what CCCU stands for ...
God Bless

I understand, and thank you.
I should have mentioned earlier that I will remember your Church in my prayers, and I hope that some good comes of it.
