Suppose there were two men, who both claimed to be the Son of God. each gathered together a group of twelve men who followed after him. Both taught many things that appeared to be from God. They both told of fantastic things that were to occur in the future that would be judgments of God upon His people who refused to receive His Son and His prophets which He had sent to them.

Maybe a little less proseletyzing? I'm getting really sick of the endless preterism debates, especially the ones that consist of essentially links to sites all about how cool preterism is.
I think that, by now, you can assume that we've heard your side of the story.

On the other hand, I'm tired of seeing futurists denounce preterists as heretics, say they're not Christian (although I suppose since that's the "official decision" of the moderators it can't be forbidden  ), and say that their only purpose is to create division in Christianity, etc.
I think both "sides" probably need to back off a little.

You may have,
but hearing isn't the same as listening.

Seebs.... Preterism cool?!? I always thought futurism was the ultimate in coolness? Like the "IN" thing dude! We're beyond cool! It's you guys that have all the 'cool' phrases, like... "Just take a look around" or "things are heating up are you ready?" I think you can add a few of your own cool futurist excerpts there Mr Seebs, go for it!

I agree seeds. I'm really getting sick of the endless preterist debates also. Especially the ones when I ask our futurist brother and sisters to show me from the Old Teatament where does the OT prophets distinguish between "a coming in redemption" versus "a coming in judgment?" I'm really getting sick of their endless answers which is. No answer at all
Just kidding keep the go debates going

The Scribes and Pharisees must of had the some cool mind set. You can believe they too said "Just take a look around" or "things are heating up are you ready for God's now kingdom? While they too were looking for a literal kingdom to be fulfilled in their literal land. Jesus was talking about a spiritual fulfillment for their very souls.
