Well, we had two adults confirmed yesterday... an ordained Presbyterian Pastor and his wife. He is going to attend Concordia Seminary, Edmonton in September for our colloquy program, which is designed for those who have an M.Div or equivalent from another denomination.
I think my pastor has a real gift for converting ordained ministers to Lutheranism--there have been three or four he's confirmed in the past three years who have then gone on to Seminary and have been ordained in the Lutheran church.
I'm just wondering--do any of the other Lutheran synods in Canada and the US (and elsewhere too) practice this? How often does it happen? One of our pastors was ordained in Hong Kong and went through the colloquy program because the Lutheran synod there isn't in communion fellowship with LCC, as well.
