Liberty, Missouri:

This morning a school bus crashed, two people died in other vehicles, and 23 of the 38 children were injured, some life-flighted to Children's Hospital.

I had baptized two of the little ones (about 7-8 years old).

Pray for the families of the fatalities, and the children.

Four of the children are in critical condition. Several have already had surgery.

One of the two I had baptized was slightly injured but after treatment was released. Still no word on the other child.

Update, there are still 13 in the hospital, including the bus driver. Two of the children have been upgraded to fair, while two still remain in critical condition.

Having driven that intersection hundreds/thousands of times and seeing how the bus landed on its side (somewhat), it is a testimony to the driver's ability to prevent it from flipping totally, and God's gracious hand watching over everyone. It appears now that had the bus not hit the two cars, most or all of the children would have been fatalities or left with very serious injuries. In an odd way, the deaths of the two men prevented many more deaths.
