Revelation 21:1 "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea."

Why no more sea, where did it go? Have you ever watched one of those nature programs where they go down really deep where the sun never shines and what lives down there? Do you ever wonder what else is down there? It has ben reported that UFO's have been seen coming and going into the ocean, is this the habitation of something that the renewed earth no longer has room for?

Shalom Zayit,
I enjoyed your mirth.

This is my personal take on the New Earth, sans oceans, Peter says the old earth will melt with fervant heat, this is koskering the earth, the new Jerusalem will have the river of living water and the multitude (no man can number) will use the whole of the earth.

Not fact, just my opinion, lets not make doctrine out of it. LOL

I think the sea symbolizes (typifies) the nations, or sin, or unbelievers?

Well really they are the same but different. Like the catapiller is gone and the butterfly has come. Transfigured. Metamophe.

I believe that the huge masses of ocean will be gone and unecessary. We will be going back to the garden of eden type existance. It does talk about a sea as clear as glass. I think the oceans are because of the flood and ground being cursed. To keep people from congregating in one place. The waters used to be below grownd and there did not need to be rain.

I hate to expose my ignorance like this but we didn't have oceans until the flood, did we? Or something....It seems I remember about the earth heaving and shifting...Mountains being created, oceans opening up...I could and should just stop and look in the Book. But I think first off doesn't the old earth kinda get destroyed in the final battle anyway? And so then there would be the new heaven and earth, like how it was meant to be from the beginning.

Some days, a mood or something will strike me and things seem like they are perfect. The sunset, or the coloring of the mountains at twilight, or all the trees blooming on a clear spring day...and I think, how could heaven be any more beautiful than this? But IT WILL BE!!!!!

Who can know?

as the Tanakh says, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard and no one's heart has imagined all the things that God has prepared for those who love him." 1 Corinthians 2:9

Does anyone know where this it? Isaiah 64:4 :)
