View Full Version : I am in need of prayers

I have been quite a wreck lately.
My husband's business is on the edge. He is a self employed contractor.
He sub contracts and lately the company who he subs for, has not been selling homes. And therefore the business has been slow.
I have four kids, and a mortgage to pay. IT is impossible to go find work, that could conflict with his work schedule, since he is self employed, he can be gone over night.
If I find anything less than 20k a year, I will be paying the bulk of income to daycare for four kids.
Basically...HELP! His check hasn't arrived, and the cupboards are bare, and we need to pay bills.
This is one reason I try to find debates that keep my mind off my troubles, and onto 'God'. If that makes sense.
Anyway, I pick my kids up daily, and it takes $5.00 a day at least in gas. We do not have cable or satellite. We do not buy unnecessary items, and we do not go out.
WE need a break, and very soon. Sorry I shared so much.
But I trust in the Lord, and prayers of those who believe. Amen and thank you all.
Hitting the lottery for 100k would be a great start. ;) Just a touch of humor. HUGS

definately praying for you!! Have you checked out Catholic Social services and/or food banks in your area? Locally here in Lorain there are some free stuff which is helpful for short term problems and hopefully things will pick up soon in your husbands business!! I am praying for you!!
JESUS, give YOUR servant her and her families "daily bread" so they can continue to serve YOU!!

:) I don't know what you said above, but it seems lovely.
Thank you, truly! I feel better knowing I can go somewhere, and not be ashamed.

Well, the nearest city is 45 minutes away.
And our Catholic churches and school do not have this service. :(
But thank you much for praying for me...that means the world to me.:crossrc:

In some cases, misery doesn't always love company..I hope you are ok too.
My hubby said he is getting steady work, but thus far...it is not enough for all the bills. OY!
But he is working...however; last night he came home in pain, because his back is out.
Unfortunately we did not foresee this, and he must work anyway. I did try to get him to buy disability insurance {When I sold insurance}...but hindsight for him is 20/20.:help:
Thank you, and Thank you again...Prayers work. And they are keeping me from sinking deep into a depression.
WELL that and keeping busy...seeking God's answers to life's problems.

If you contact Catholic Social Services, they may be able to work with your parish to help you if their facility is too far away for you to drive. Also, sending our prayers for you.
