(For fans of other teams, suggest your fave and post its logo. I think it would be a great idea to have armor with lots of pro or college football/baseball/basketball options to show support for the team you love!)

(Edited: I removed the Wisconsin link...I didn't know a state had been made already)

Team specific icons will not be added to the Armory as per Erwin's request. The Wisconsin state icon has already made. If it's not in the Armory now it will be rotated in at some point.

It's truly a load of horse manure that sports fans keep on getting discriminated against around here. It is a shame and certain people should be ashamed of themselves. Purple flip flops? A Flying saucer? New items keep getting added on a regular basis but no sports teams because why? Why? Why? Why? Whatever reason given isn't good enough.

There simply is no reason why sports team logos can not be added on a first come-first serve basis. You can set a maximum of like 10 or 12 new added per month and that is all. Then you can rotate them.

It's just ludicruous that you serve the interests of so many other people by fulfilling so many other requests but you leave others completely out in the cold. Please stop it. Stop it now. You're excluding so many people. Exclusion of these people I speak of is a very sad thing. Why is discrimination good to you? Discrimination is bad and any way you look at it you are discriminating against sports fans by not allowing them any individuality whatsoever. People can choose different types of flowers and cars and musical instruments and even colors of flip flops. You have individual icons for the nations of Canada and Australia. Why do you have those when CF already shows the flag of a nation where someone is from? Hello?!?!?! You just keep adding so many items but all there is for sports fans are a football, a hockey puck, a baseball, a basketball, and a football? Why? Why do you cater to so many people but discriminate against others? Are sports fans less worthy of having their requests filled? Are sports fans less of a Christian than you? Plain and simple - sports fans should not endure this discrimination against them any longer. Please see to it that you have a plan in place to allow a certain number of requests per month and a system of rotation just like you have for SO many other requested items.

Thank you and have a nice day :)

Not allowing us to support specific teams makes no sense!! I didn't realize this had already been addressed...but hopefully it will be reconsidered now.

Sports fans are NOT discriminated against. Like you said there's a soccer ball, football, cricket ball, hockey puck, etc. There are also cleats, track shoes, referee shirts, etc. There are just so many teams that it would be impossible to satisfy everybody. 10 or 12 team icons added per month? Yeah, right. That just means everybody here will have to listen to all the complaints about "why can't their team be added" even though that month's quota is taken up. It's ludicrous to suggest that CF considers sports fans less Christian and quite ridiculous that you even mentioned it. If a sports team means that much to you and you want to show it off on CF I suggest you utilize your signature or avatar.

The sports discrimination hissy fit that continues to persist is going to end up spoiling it for everyone as they will just stop adding any new icons at all as they can't please everyone. I'd like an icon for my team as much as the next person but I'm grown up enough to get over it. People have icons turned down all the time and I don't see them stomping their foot and throwing a tantrum.

IT IS DISCRIMINATON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You simply can make NO argument that is not. You've got to be BLIND not to see it.

There are SO many pieces of armor that to add sports teams on a 10 per month basis really would NOT be a burden. If ten is too many then cut it to 5. Since it would be first come first serve you'd have to just tell people, "Sorry," once a monthly quota gets filled. Whoop-di-freakin'-do. U.S pro teams alone we're lookin' at a maximum of 125 or so. GUARANTEED you won't get all 125 requests at once. Add college requests also on a first come first serve basis. Then there's foreign folks. Fine. When considering the grand total of teams it compares with the number of new icons being added ALL THE TIME. This can be done. Special Items: Assorted you now have 179!!!!!! 84 Shoes. You have SO many also that aren't in rotation now, right? And what will you KEEP DOING? You will keep on adding new items for people but you'll keep on saying no to sports teams while you keep on adding other new items, no new sports teams but you'll keep on adding new items but no new sports teams. See the problem here??? You will constantly add new items when you could ALSO add sports teams.

The aforementioned tracks shoes, ref shirts, blah blah blah, that is unacceptable. People can outfit themselves with a whole wardrobe of aluminum foil but you won't allow sports teams? Newsflash - Christians play sports. Christians lead their teams in prayer and have Bible studies with teammates, Christians lead kids to Christ. How does aluminum foil play into the Christian's life??????

Consider the fact that sports teams icons can actually bring two Christians together. Now I know you think I'm smoking crack but it's true. Does aluminum foil bring people together? When someone sees someone else's Yankees icon and they're also a Yankees fan that gives extra incentive for someone to reach out to another, for two Christians to communicate on a personal level. How likely is it someone's little Ferrari or plain lame baseball icon will do that? Not very likely at all.

The sports discrimination hissy fit that continues to persist is going to end up spoiling it for everyone as they will just stop adding any new icons at all as they can't please everyone.

If it gets spoiled for everyone then too bad. There's no reason for so many to be satisfied with having idiotic requests fulfilled while so many other perfectly reasonable requests get left out in the cold. It's wrong and it is discrimination.

People have icons turned down all the time and I don't see them stomping their foot and throwing a tantrum.

This isn't foot stomping and throwing a temper tantrum. This is standing up with a firm voice for what is right in this world. People usually get nowhere by keeping their mouths shut. People need a voice and a voice isn't a temper tantrum. This voice is seeking what is just; this voice is seeking an end to discrimination on Christian Forums against sports fans. For all those that walk away dejected someone needs to stand up and get done what is right or else the discrimination will continue. If sports fans should not have their choice of team icons then no one should have any choice for anything whatsoever.

Thank you and as always, Have a nice day :)

Sheesh...sorry all...I didn't mean for this to turn into such a heated thread. Apparently this is a very sensitive topic... ^_^ ...Let's just hope for the best and not overstep our boundaries. ;)

Hi there!

AngylBelle--thanks for the suggestion. However, as you can see...this has been suggested already! Don't feel bad about the controversy created! :)

For others--please don't get into a debate every time this comes up. Erwin has made the decision, and that is really all there is to it. It was not the decision of the armor keepers, and they don't need to listen to griping about this.

This decision is not discrimination against anyone...we're just talking about armory icons. You can honor your favorite team in your avatar, your signature, or your custom user title. You can honor your favorite sport through armor items of footwear, clothing, and sports gear. However, we will not be adding icons for specific teams.

If anyone has any further questions about this, you will need to PM me, as this thread is being closed.

Grace and Peace,
