I need ideas for this. . .I'm almost on theological burnout for the moment. . .or something. . .

I sent this e-mail to some of the art teachers at McNeese (currently, no responses).

First, let me tell you why I am writing.

I am the head of education at St. Paul Lutheran Church here in Lake Charles. Every year we have a "rally day" which marks the beginning of an official Sunday School year (we have Sunday School in the summer, but it is toned down since a lot of people go on vacation - and then we start a bit thing again when the school year starts.)

The day this usually occurs is the Sunday after school starts so people are back in town. I don't know what day that is this year as of yet.

However, our theme is Isaiah 64:8 - "I am the potter; you are the clay."

I don't know exactly what we'd do. I have no idea what time it'd be or anything, as there are some major changes happening for the church.

However, I thought maybe a short presentation (5-10 minutes - definitely no longer than 10!) would be nice followed by a few booths where everybody could work with clay (maybe playdough for the littlest ones) and get the idea of the theme would be nice.

I'm just throwing ideas out for right now.

I'm also wondering if any of you would be willing to help - of if you know of anybody/have any students that would be willing to help.

I know it's a bit early, but we always have to start planning these types of things in advance.

Thanks so much,
Bridget Delaney

I haven't been able to find other pottery and ceramics artists in Lake Charles as of this day. I need ideas. Do any of you have any? Thanks.
