There are those that still argue today if this is valid or not, if Israel has a right to her homeland a land given to her like no other nation, by the creator Himself, as a wedding present of sorts, for His beloved bride , Israel.

Today the fighting still goes on, to hold onto what HaShem has brought them back to, after much fighting, after many loses, not to mention how the number of Israel's children were greatly reduced by one of the world's worst maniacal workers of HaSatan, Hitler, May his name be erased!

Iyar 5, this coming Tuesday is the anniversary of many things, the declaration that Israel was an recognized state, and also the anniversary of total disregard of this from her surrounding "neighbors". These neighbors do not live by the Golden Rule, they do not live by Yeshua's commandment to love one another , but they follow another god of war, a god who fights with all his might to keep what the L-RD has said from becoming a reality.

Sunday is the Memorial Day prior to the celebration of Israel's independance, we must remembre why we have this day to celebrate, because of thoe who believed in a Zionist state, and put their lives on the line for that belief.

On This Day, We Honor The Memory of the Young Men & Women Who Gave Their Lives For The Creation And Security of The Jewish State.

Please remember what happened 56 years ago on the Roman calendar, May 14th, the Hebrew, Iyar 5th, which falls on April 26th this year.

It is Israel's Independance day and so much more. There are many who died fighting for their belief in this state and many continue to die every day to maintain it, let us not forget, and let us never cease praying for those who live it everyday.

Over 21,000 died struggling to make this a reality, over 19,000 have died since trying to hold on.

Join me in saying Kaddish in honor of them:

Glorified and sanctified be God's great name throughout the world which He has created according to His will. May He establish His kingdom in your lifetime and during your days, and within the life of the entire House of Israel, speedily and soon; and say, Amen.

May His great name be blessed forever and to all eternity.

Blessed and praised, glorified and exalted, extolled and honored, adored and lauded be the name of the Holy One, blessed be He, beyond all the blessings and hymns, praises and consolations that are ever spoken in the world; and say, Amen.

May there be abundant peace from heaven, and life, for us
and for all Israel; and say, Amen.

He who creates peace in His celestial heights, may He create peace for us and for all Israel; and say, Amen.

Yes! Blessed be the Holy ONE!

I think that theses verses from Psalm 30 are most appropriate for this transistion of mourning on the memorial day to celebration the very next day on Independance Day!

8 I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.
9 What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
10 Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.
11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

AMEIN!

Psalm 91

My Refuge and My Fortress

1He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

2I will say[1] to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

3For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence.

4He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.

5You will not fear the terror of the night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

6nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

8You will only look with your eyes
and see the recompense of the wicked.

9Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place--
the Most High, who is my refuge[2] --

10no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
no plague come near your tent.

11For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.

12On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.

13You will tread on the lion and the adder;
the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.

14"Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him;
I will protect him, because he knows my name.

15When he calls to me, I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.

16With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation."

Acctually according to Aish

April 25, 2004, 4th of Iyar
NOTE: Israel Memorial Day - Yom Hazikaron will be observed this year on Monday: April 26th so that observant families can attend the memorial services.

So April 25, 2004 is the correct day, 4th of Iyar, and the 26th is Yom Ha'atzmaut which is the 5th or Iyar, the May 14th of 53 years ago.

I don't understand the observance being moved to Monday, why not Sunday?
