My boyfriend goes to a church that does not have music or instruments. They also do not allow women to speak. He doesn't even know what his family "is". If you have any information at all. LET ME KNOW ASAP! Thanx a mill guys

It sounds like the Church of Christ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_Christ)which resulted from a split in the Campbellite (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campbellite) churches in 1906.

The Campbellite churches were the primary result of the Restorationist movement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Restorationism) of the 1800s that tried to remove denominational barriers by being like the New Testament Church. The Church of Christ was the conservative/fundamentalist wing of the Campbellites that split over disagreements in missions and instruments.

Likely a brethren church, perhaps even a "closed brethren" church. They are pretty strict about stuff like music and women. Do the women have to wear head-coverings?
