Wanting to find out if others have heard about the Global day of prayer.
Here is information concerning it:
INVITATION TO THE GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER – 15 MAY 2005
We are pleased to invite you to this memorable event.
As you may be aware, Transformation Africa gathered momentum on 21 March 2001 at Newlands Rugby Stadium, where a record 45 000 Christians prayed for Cape Town.
On 21 March 2002, Christians from all denominations gathered in 8 different stadiums across South Africa, which is when East London became involved . On 1 May 2003, millions of Christians across 28 African countries united in prayer and on 2 May 2004 all 56 African countries prayed for God’s blessing in Africa. This event marked one of the greatest Christian gatherings in the world with more than 22 million Christians praying together.
This year, Africa invites you to join with the whole world in prayer on Pentecost Sunday, 15 May, as the continent of Africa is in desperate need of transformation and it is an issue that we can no longer avoid.
Any comments are welcome.
