Quick question:
What is the Jewish mindset regarding atonement and sacrifice? I have often wondered about this considering the destruction of the temple and the lack of an altar for shedding blood. Does the Jewish nation have a huge 'monkey on their back' regarding not being able to 'get right' with G-d? Please treat me as completely ignorant on this; so that even the most elementary explanations are accepted and appreciated.
