(For my fiance, not for me)

I'm going to Olympia with hiim to pack him up out of his parents' house today and over the weekend. Next Wednesday he is driving to the border to apply for a student visa. He may or may not attempt to actually cross the border at the same time, or he may drive home and go get his things and cross on Thursday.

Once he gets here, regardless of when, we are renting a U-Haul truck and loading all our furniture into it (giving my dad's garage back). We're also loading all my dishes and pots and pans and bakeware and the TV and PS2 and VCR and as many of his books and my books as will fit, all his clothing, his computers, and my winter clothing into the truck.

Then we're driving to Edmonton. We take possession of the apartment on May 1, so I will help him unload the truck. He'll drop me off at the airport on May 2 and then return the truck and take a taxi back to his place (or get a ride from someone). A couple of weeks later he'll fly back down here, pick up his car (and, incidentally, spend some time with me and take care of more wedding stuff), and then drive back up there by himself (all 700 miles).

Could you please pray for the two of us to maintain sanity as we accomplish all these things in such a short span of time? Also for us to have safe trip--it's a long drive and I don't drive (yet--that will be remedied by the wedding or shortly thereafter) so he has to drive it himself. And finally for our wedding planning to not be neglected during the move either--we're planning to send our wedding invites by May 6th at the latest and so far I've only addressed five out of 122 envelopes. And also pray that we can find people to help us unload the truck in Edmonton--the one person who I know would help, and help very efficiently, will probably still be in Cuba.

The only thing I don't have to worry about is finding a church in Edmonton--I used to live there.

Thanks everyone!

That makes me reminisce how much work it was to get married when we were engaged! It's worth staying married just to keep from going through all of that again! :D just jokin' ....but we have been married for 30 years.

We will be praying for you and your fiancee!
