Ok, I don't want this to come across as a judgement on status or anything, but I just wanted to get to know you guys better. So here's the poll:

WR,
May I append your poll (you might be able to, but I can't recall) ? We have several tonsured Readers here which are in that fuzzy world between laity and clergy.

I consider Readers as laity, just for the ease of this poll.

A Reader is a non-ordained member of the minor clergy, and is often a step in the process of being ordained as a Deacon. I can think of at least 4 TAW members that serve in that capacity in the Orthodox Church.

Some people are readers. which is certainly not clergy.
some people are sub-deacons... things start to get blurred
and then deacons... definitely a backbone of the liturgy... very blurred.
Since polls can't be appended... my suggestion is, put that you are layity and then specify what kind.

Actually, Archpriest Sokolov (IIRC) refers to them as minor clergy along with several other now defunct positions.

This area down here isn't for debating. If you don't fall under any of the poll categories, list them here please.

You did not leave the option "I am an iconographer"! :)

I think that fits under layity... but I'm sure their are priests and bishops who write icons. ;)
Monk/nun though would have been interesting. White Rabbit... I am sorry.. this is an incomplete ballot. It must be recalled and deemed invalid. hehehehe.

He's kidding WR, it's your poll, if you let the teaming millions control it we'll soon have as many options as TAW members, +1. ^_^
