As most of us Christians may know according to Ephesians 6:17, that the sword of the spirit (part or our spiritual armor) is the word of God.

It facinates me to know that Jesus will one day destroy his enemies by just his words.

Anyway, as I was saying. I'd like to start this new thread where we can come in and post something from scripture that one would use as their sword. Maybe in prayer or just to speak some powerful, and encouraging words to keep it right and well for ourselves.

For instance...we can be walking around and might be discouraged about a task or a struggle. We can say something like "I can do all things through Christ who gives me stregnth".

I am very intrested in what other CF members will come up with since I have just begun to practice this. It may give me new ideas. And we can all maybe help each other out by revealing something new one has not come up with.;)

Psalms 23:
1. The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
2. He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
3. He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.
4. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
6. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

It's all about love. We love the Lord God with all of our hearts, minds, and strength. We love our neighbors as we love ourselves. We share the Good News with everyone we can because we know that if you dig down deep enough there is something loveable about everyone. We choose to love first and dig later. We share the Gospel of Truth so that we dont have to spend eternity without this person that we love.

For those times when I feel like I'm not good enough, it's Philippians 1:6 .."being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Romans 8:37-39

In all these things we are more then conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither life nor death, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither heigth nor depth nor anything in all of creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 8:32

And you shall know the truth and the turth will set you free.

2 Thesallonians 3:3

The Lord our God is Faithful, he will strengthen us and protect us from the enemy.

2 Timothy 1:7

For God did not give us the Spirit of Fear, but the Spirit of Power, Love, and a Sound Mind.

Romans 12:21

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Oh...and leave us not forget:

Rom 8:35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Rom 8:36 Just as it is written, "FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG; WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED."
Rom 8:37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
Rom 8:38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
Rom 8:39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Praise the Lord and Amen!
