Is there anyone out there that is somewhat keeping up with signs of the times and prophecy? Since I have had some time on my hands Ive been really curious about this whole topic and have done some research and have come across some startling things. if you get a chance look up "digital angel". It is a RFID transmitter that is inbedded under your skin and is able to transmit certain things about you such as, vital signs, your location, etc. If you are interested in learning more all you have to do is go to your favorite search engine and type in, "Mark of the beast". you will have a nice long list of information at your fingertips.

The end could come at anytime. Jesus talked a fair bit about the last days, and He seemed concerned with one thing: that you and I would be ready. I don't know when Christ will return, but I do want to be found ready!!

Thanks for the reminder weeman - it is always good to keep the big picture in focus.

Your brother,

Stephen

The Parable of the 10 Virgins comes to mind. We should never be complacent.

I don't keep up with signs or anything, but I do think the end times are near. Things are getting more and more wicked. God will come soon I think.

I think seebs said this once. 99% of all Christians in history who thought the end times were near are dead.

It most definitely is near, just as it was near for 1st century Christians. God's sense of time is very different from ours.

As for the mark of the beast,

I guess it isn't :
barcodes
credit cards
verichip
...
the list goes on for what Christians have thought the mark of the beast could be.

And I'll bet the Trilateral Commission is behind it.

Once again well said Gold Dragon.

As for the mark of the beast and the anti christ - one plausable idea put forth says that the anti christ was Caesar.

Anyway, nice to have you on CF.

That has also been debunked as an urban legend.............

9-Iron...have you ever seen this guy on tv with his wife? Make fun or not, there is something about them that is very fascinating...it is the way they bring their message across. They are so dramatized and excited, ya know? It's like I can hear their voice right now...helllllllllllllllllllllllllllp!

The end could come at any time. I think we have by and large become jaded about the end times. Did any of you when you saw the OP title cringe and think heres another whacked out thread? We need to be ready and be expectant.

One thing that must be remembered about the sign is that the sign is affiliated with a denial of Christ, isn't it? (by the sign, I mean the mark of the beast) Anything that is religiously neutral (not inherently evil or without the need to do evil to get it) is not going to be the number of the beast.

the Bible says to not be caught sleeping, but working when that Day comes.

but as for me, yes we should be ready, but what if your end of the world was tomorrow?

It is not affiliated with the denial of Christ until the world is decieved.
What Satan ALWAYS does is try to counterfiet. So, it will look good, it will taste good, it will smell good and it will feel good. Just like that fruit in the garden. Anything religious that is not standing up completley biblically sound in doctrine and preaching the truth of salvation should be watched closley.

Be ready BUT i implore upon you dont live like you are oughta jrer tomorrow, witness to ppl about the Lord, take care of yourself and enviroment, and Keep in mind every generation believes theirs is the last.

I had that realization when i passes a cross that had been erected beofe my mother was born, i had passed this cross probably hundreds of times, it said on it Jesus is coming soon, and something about the end.

and i realized the ppl that erected it thought theors was the last generation and all were probably deceased by now.

Be prepared. But be mindful that it may not happen and you need to take care of yourself and the world around you.

I watched him weekly about 5-6 years ago, but gave up on him after a few months. Actually I still tune in every couple of months to see what it going on. Basically if you have seen 2-3 of his shows, you have seen them all.

I think there is a place for a voice like his and he gets you to think about it. However, he hasn't a clue anymore than you or I really.

My grandmother will tell you they all thought Hitler was the true antichrist. They spent months in prayer and waiting. Once news of Hitler's suicide, they went on about life and haven't given it a thought since.

She is 93 and has thought we are in the last days since her teenage years. Actually many thought us landing on the moon was a big sign, something they related to sign in Heavenlies or something. Anyway again everyone thinks they are in the last days.

I don't think the end is closer than I think!

Because I think it could be any minute now! ;)

Once I saw how much world leaders and the United Nations were saying "peace and security" I knew the time was pretty short.

1TH 5:1 But as to the times and the season, brethren, you have no need to have anything written to you. 2 For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 When people say, "there is peace and security," then sudden destruction will come upon them as travail comes upon a woman with child, and there will be no escape. 4 But you are not in darkness, brethren, for that day to surprise you like a thief.(RSV)

1TH 5:1But as far as times and seasons go, my brothers, you don't need written instructions. You are well aware that the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a burglary to a householder. When men are saying, "Peace and security," catastrophe will sweep down upon them as suddenly and inescapably as birth pangs to a pregnant woman. But because you, my brothers, are not living in darkness the day cannot take you completely by surprise. (Phillips)

1TH 5:1About dates and times, my friends, we need not write to you, for you know perfectly well that the Day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night. While they are talking of peace and security, all at once calamity is upon the, sudden as the pangs that come upon a woman with child; and there will be no escape. But you, my friends, are not in the dark, that the day should overtake you like a thief. (NEB)

It's something I have never worried about or debated. The Bible is clear that none of us know the time or the hour, and that we should always be ready. Before I typed this I got ready again!!!!!!

I don't believe that God gave us the signs of His return to look for just to take up space in the Bible. ;)

We can't know the day nor the hour but we can know the general time.
