I've been a Southern Baptist all my life, but after attending a SBC seminary I've come examine some of my beliefs and I'm not sure if I can see myself in the ministry with the SBC for the rest of my life. After much study and prayer I find my theology to follow mostly Karl Barth, however that is not a denomination that follows what Barth taught. My second choice would be John Wesley. My question is not so much doctrine, but rather the church governments within those who follow after the teachings of Wesley.

You could be a Barthian and most likely find yourself in a relatively comfortable situation in the UMC. The episcopal form of govt and the itinerancy may or may not be to your liking.
Just a question for you....how do you reconcile Wesley and Barth? :)

Thanks for your input. I don't try to reconcile them, but I'm closer to Wesley than I am Calvin, which is part of the problem I'm having with the SBC.
