There is so much in there that I have been shell shocked. :o

If your a Christian you cannot be demon-possessed. For the simple fact that Light and Darkness cannot inhabit the same place, in this case yourself. Your wife on the other hand quite possibly can be while you are oppressed. It sounds like you both have a lot of things to work out. Praying for ya bud, may God be with you.

Dear Lord,

Please be with yeppyairs and his wife during their turmoils. Wrap your loving arms around him and his wife to heal them of their physical and emotional woes. Give him the strength and courage to not give into his fleshly desires that are against your will Dear Lord. Let him know that if he fills his mind with your Word Lord, he can gain strength day by day. Could you please place loving and caring christians in their lives to give them the support to continue in your way Lord. I ask this all in your Holy and Precious Name......Amen!

I will continue to pray for you and know that according to the scriptures in Luke 1:37....NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD. You and your wife can look to the Lord our God and know that He will be able to guide you both in the right direction. Take care :)

God Bless!

Yeppy, I've prayed for you too. Remember the apostle Paul's word's of wisdom. Take up the belt of truth, the shield of faith, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. This is the armor of God, against which no power of Satan can stand.

I'm curious then....as far as the light/darkness...verse reference?

So...if he is a Christian (light) and he sleeps with another man (dark) then how would you define what is happening?

Apparently, there has been a victory for hell in regards to the number of pastors addicted to internet pornography.....if we can't call dwelling in that kind of sinful stronghold darkness, then what is? Their spirits are dwelling with the Holy Spirit, but isn't it their body and soul that delves into the dark?

I do hear that phrase said quite a bit...and it would help me if I could get a scripture reference to back it up.

Hisgirl,

That's one of the reasons I don't see sins as demons. I do think that demons can tempt us, but it is our decision to sin. We need to be held accountable.

So, IMHO to answer your question, light is still the only thing dwelling in us, but we are doing our darndest to cover it up.

I want to explain what is happening :liturgy: "INSIDE ME", with symbols as such:

I am like a well, deep inside me is ALL the living eternal water I could ever need to wash and purify my soul. The problem is that sand, twiggs, leafs, and just plain junk got into that well.

Or How about this, I am like a river, a mighty river with water so pure from the highest mountain tops, water so pure melted gently in the purest form slowly by the sun kissing the horizon. The problem is  that beavers, yes critters have built a dam in the way, and not just one dam but possibly seven or eight consequetive dams one right after another, so that were my might cool water might water, and bring forth green pastures have now become barren desserts.

Do you see :priest:what I am saying now?

The spirit is puire and incorruptible, but; the soul is the battle ground where the demons, evil spirits, dark forces stay and build thier dams against the light of the spirit the channel to and from God, from who all blessings flow

If you like to make a song about what I posted go ahead and bless people. Do it !!! :amen:

Oh no, you misunderstand. If we are God's temple, and God (light) dwells in that temple, IE in us then darkness (demons) cannot inhabit that same space.

The flesh fights against us, and we stumble. However our spirit is on our side.

Mat 26:41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."

2 different precepts.

ok check this out:

What is God's light? Total forgiveness and total healing and total restoration.

1) our bodies can still be sick and die, the last enemy to be destroyed is death.
2) our soul is inside our bodies, which may be impure, that is why we must purge ourselves.
3) Our spirit is inside our souls, our souls are the kinda body for the spirit man
jesus is inside the spirit man
4) inside Jesus dwells the Father, his Father and the Father who adopted or grafted us into his royal family.

So you see yes we are a temple, and the Lord's Temple is our spirit man and not our soul, our soul is to be purged. If it were not able to become dirty we would not need to purge it or wash it up with the word.

Read Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer. It talks about overcoming mental illness and how the devil corrupts our minds with Lies.

I have been off my meds since August 2004. I had Paranoid Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar mood swings, personality disorder, anxiety attacks, and severe depression. My mom's whole side ot the family has mental illness and family members have been in and out of assylum's their whole life. It has been a long hard journey but with the help of Jesus I have renewed my mind in his righteousness and have turned all my pride and emotional wounds over to him so he can mend them. We have to find peace in our lives and who better to ask the the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ.

Good Luck
