Umm, what do you mean "when God is with me"?

Salvation is who you are, not what you do. You're not a sinner, you're a child of God and may act accordingly, once you realize that.

In the name of God - Peace

Well, I hope I will go to heaven but for me, heaven is such a marvelous thing that I cannot grasp at all so I focus on my daily life instead. If I go to heaven, I would feel so ashamed of all my wrong-doings, I've sinned so many times against my beloved Saviour, He who gave His life for me and all I repay him with is my transgressions :( I wouldn't be able to look Him in His eyes!

Furthermore, I don't believe it's your actions that secures your place in the hereafter, if it were, who could show such good works that he or she would deserve a place in heaven? Not a single one!

Max, it's not about works. That's what makes Christianity so different from other religions. Ephesians 2:8 says it is by grace through faith that you are saved, not of works. Once you have trusted in Christ as your Savior and Lord, Romans 10:9-13, you are saved. There are some people here who will disagree with me but I believe that once you are saved you are secure in Christ. No one can snatch you out of the hand of God, John 10:28-30. Christ bought you with a price. He doesn't just sell you back whenever you sin. Read Romans 6. We are free in Christ once we accept Him as our Savior but we shouldn't sin. If we do sin though we have an Advocate with God, Jesus Christ. Have you ever realized that you are a sinner and that you need a Savior? If so have you given your life over to Him? That is the important thing. Once you do that you are sealed by the Holy Spirit for the day of redemtion, Ephesians 1:13; 4:30. It's so important for you to get into the Bible and read as much as possible. The word of God is living and active and will convict you of what God wants for you to do. People will tell you different things about the Bible so you need to read it for yourself.

What does it mean to have character? What is character?

In the book 'The Purpose Driven Life' the auther describes character as...the sum of one's habits. So if you are known to have the 'fruits of the Spirit' even though all people sin, the sin that one never gets a chance to ask forgiveness for will not prevent that person from going to heaven.

Brother_Justin here,

AHH! This is a question we all have! Actualy I think it is rare to find a believer who doesnt ask this question.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus

That is your answer!! Jesus died for ALLLLLLLL your sins!!! Present, past, and future. You are going to have doubt that is normal!! But have NO doubt in your mind if you have accepted Jesus Christ sincerly into your heart that you ARE going to heaven  !! If you havent accepted Jesus Christ I would urge you to do so right now!!! Havve no fear Jesus is your ticket. Praise the Lord for that

John 3:16

"For GOD so loved the world,

HE gave His only begotten Son,

that -WHOEVER- -BELIEVES- -IN- -HIM-,

will -NOT- perish,

but have

-ETERNAL- life.

(Q.)
How long does eternal last?

(A.)
-FOREVER-.

(If you have something -FOREVER-, you -CAN'T- lose it.)

(His sacrifice -WILL- provide this)

(Please consider -WHO- paid: the price,

and -WHAT- price He paid.)

Peace in Christ.

That would depend on what you mean by "sin" .

We can never repent or ask forgiveness for all our sins individually: we should try to do so, but aside from anything else, there are always many we don't see or regard as sins - even 'bad ones'.
We repent not just of individual sins, but of being sinful - and God saves us from it. God's salvation is offered to save us not just from individual sins, but from ourselves, and it is that we trust him for.

And, of course, nearly everyone doubts that they will be saved at some point. It is a temptation it is hard to resist. At times like that, we just have to pray, rememeber God's promises, and the mercy he has shown to us and to others. Some find a prayer diary useful - looking back through it, seeing when God has been good to you, when he has answered prayers, and so on, can help us to see that he is already doing everything for us.

read Ephesians 6 which talks about the Full armor of God which is your spiritual protection from the devil. He is the Father of Lies and will do anything to have your doubt your salvation or faith in Jesus. When you have doubtful thoughts submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee.

Also read Romans 12:1-3 which talks about crucifying the flesh to be led by the spirit and renewing your mind to think righteously.

Romans 8:14 Those who are led by the spirit of God are sons of God.

We need to learn when we are being led by the spirit and not the desires of the flesh.

All glory and praise to Jesus.

Hi i have a quistion how do people know that they will go to heaven

If they are children of God then they will go to Heaven. That is the Lord's promise to us. Whether they are or not is something that the Lord reveals to them in different ways.

for me personally when god is with me i feel assured that there is a place for me in god's mansion. But when i don't have god with me i doubt myself .

If God is ever "with you" then He is always "with you," even when you don't feel like He is. Our faith is not, and should never be, in how we feel. Our feelings will often lead us astray. Our faith should be in the provision of God in supplying Christ in our stead.

And what if you have been good all af your life but lets say a couple hrs before you die you commit a terrible sin well all sins are terrible but then you die without asking for forgivnes.WHAT HAPPENS ??

Your sins aren't forgiven because you asked for forgiveness so not asking for forgiveness just means that you are being a disobedient Christian. When you believe that the Lord forgives you because you repent you are showing that your faith in your forgiveness is based on your work of repenting rather than on the merit that Christ has earned for you. You repent because you are commanded to repent, not to be forgiven.
