I am a lutheran, thought I'd come in get to know other lutherans...
What does it mean to be a lutheran by Martin Luther through the cathecism?

Welcome!
It means actually believing in the confessions, especially the Augsburg. It also means that you believe the same things that Luther did in regards to theology.

Hmmm...Thanks for clearing that up.
What does it mean for us be lutherans who serve Christ?
What is the Augsburg you mentioned? A book or doctrine?
Are we as lutherans set apart or ordained a special priviledge/blessing etc from God in the Bible??

I think the problem here is that we're not really sure what you're asking. Are you asking "What makes Lutherans different from every other denomination?" If so, then it's our Statement of Faith. This isn't a simple recitation of one of the Creeds; it's a complete and comprehensive covering of "what makes Lutherans different in their beliefs and practices." You can find all that out for yourself by reading the Book of Concord. If you want a hardcopy for yourself, it's obtainable at church supply stores, or you can order it online from CPH at
cph.org
Run a search for "book of concord". It's kind of pricey at $45, but it's really worth it - it's not a small book, nor is it the easiest one to read, so you'll want to study it.
If you're interested in reading it, but not in shelling out $45 for it, you can read it online at

The Augsburg Confession is part of the Book of Concord.

You mean like the descendants of Abraham, the Jews were? No. We, like all Christians, are set apart by our faith in Christ our Savior, not by our declaration of a denomination, or a pronouncement from God to Luther or anything.
