Just wanted to introduce myself. I am married and have two daughters. I have been out of the IC for about two years now. I was ready to leave IC about 4 years ago, but I had to wait for my husband to want that as well. We have gone to loosely structured home meetings, but that ended up not working out so well for us. We still love those people and stay in touch with them. We have more informal fellowship time with several different families here and there. Also, the Lord blesses us with unexpected times of fellowship with others. The greatest blessing is the closeness between my husband and myself that has a occured as a result of spening time in prayer and reading the Bible together. Nowadays, my ideal church is our bed in the morning, drinking coffee, the whole family together, reading the Bible, talking and discussing, praying. This has been a wonderful journey for us.
Well, I'm looking forward to meeting you all. It looks like there are some good discussions.

Reading your post, I just wonder if we are to do this (family worshipping together) with diligence whether we go to a church or not. When I look back, I must admit I neglected it in the name of church attendance. What is more important is family worship, not church attendance.

I am glad that there is a family out there that is being restored to family worship. A church is to be the gathering place of such families.

Thank you for sharing your experience and may your family be more devoted to family worship.
