I've been unchurched for almost a year (Mother's day will be exactly a year.) I'm looking but can't find none around here that fits my beliefes. I know God has something planned for me, but I have no idea what. I think it has something to do with growing a chruch. I'm guessing a church already in existance (but probably small). But I just can't seem to find the "one". GOd told me that he'll let me know when it's the "one" I'm supposed to be at. So far....the "one" hasn't showed up. I'm thinking...maybe I haven't looked hard enough. But then again....all in His timing. I know He doesn't want me to start a church! I'm not called to pastor. And if I was supposed to start a church...I would need a pastor to do it with. :: sigh:: Idk...I just figured that this was the appropriate place to lay this all down on. Anyone have any comments, suggestions, etc.?
Thanks.

1. I've been unchurched for almost a year
Not a problem, we as christians progress through different "seasons" in our walk with God. We all pass through a time of Sabbath < rest > in our Faith.
It provides us with time to reflect on our beliefs and helps to bring new focus and direction when we resume our journey. You have been in such a season, and your questions show that you are about to enter a new season.
2. I'm looking but can't find none around here that fits my beliefes.
I would ask what specifically are those beliefs? What specifically are you seeking in a fellowship?
I fellowship with a broad range of Christian groups on a near daily basis, and might be able to suggest some that you may not have encountered.
3. I know God has something planned for me, but I have no idea what.
God has plans for us all, focus upon your talents and what you have to offer.
4. I think it has something to do with growing a chruch.
A Church can grow in many ways, not just in membership.
All churches are gatherings and fellowships of The Ecclesia (body of believers),
They can grow not only in number, but in Faith and Maturity.
5. I know He doesn't want me to start a church! I'm not called to pastor.
And Moses was not called for public speaking...
Jonah didn't feel called as a prophet either...
Let Go, and Let God.
6. And if I was supposed to start a church...I would need a pastor to do it with.
How about a Bible Study? or a Prayer Group?
You can invite friends and neighbors, maybe post a notice at the laundymat or convienance store, who knows?
It doesn't take having a Pastor to fellowship, or to discuss the Bible with peers.

Thanks.
I have a little different view then what has posted above.
Ive seen many ppl lately coming out of man made churches because they know in there spirit its not right.
Im sure that you are hinting but didnt want to say it.
Ppl are desiring the face of God in a deeper way and these churches are not providing what we need.
I was like you but know ive found the a place who put God first above all things and are more then willing to be led by the spirit also letting the spirit have control over the meeting.
Most churches do not do this and are dead or luke warm.
I say hang in there keep praying to God to provide a place of true worship.
As far as being a Pastor well females should not Pastor a church.
Like Wisdom im wondering what are your beliefs?
There is another thread about this and many who are just like you are waiting for the God to direct them, Wait and let God move you.I waited over two yrs!

You wont have to find one , God will supply it.
I believe God is calling out the bride and to get them to clean up, also to call them to deeper lvl of worship.
Were do you get your hidden manna from?
I mayby be able to help with that.
Hope i have help you in some way
God Bless

Hi, I think I saw you post on another board. Are you in Humboldt Co.? That's where I am. Are you on the Northern or Southern end of the county? We (my family) are 'unchurched', but because that is what we have chosen. I like Genitleone's response to you. Truly, seek the Lord in prayer and in the Word. Be humble and willing to hear, He will guide you.

No Bubbles, none of us can start our own church. If I were you, I'd just pray about it and await God's timing as it is perfect. The right Church will be there for you!

You don't need a pastor nor need to be a pastor to start a group . It isn't rocket science .
