We are moving in two weeks (yay!) and are looking for some guidance on how to bless the new home, how to anoint the rooms, and if there's anything else we should do (besides affix our mezuzahs - that is on the list too). Are their blessings/prayers that are usually said before moving into a new house to "clean out" whatever might have been there before and prepare it for HaShem's presence?

As for me and my house, we will serve the L-RD.....................I am sure you have heard of this verse, it is from the last chapter of Joshua, or Yehoshua, and is a statement he made to the people when asking them to choose who they would serve.

I say when you go in, to claim that house and the surrounding property that is yours, for the L-RD, that in that house you will serve the L-RD G-D of Israel. You may attach your mezuzot on each mezuzah (doorpost) and after saying the blessing for the mezuzah, perhaps touch each mezuzah with your finger that has been dipped in annointing oil or olive oil and in the name of Yeshua, claim that room as holy ground, that nothing huholy is welcome there, and do this in the name of Yeshua.

Ask the L-RD after doing this in all rooms ( you can also do the baths even though they dont' get mezuzot.) to bless the whole house with his shalom, letting that shalom and harmony and love dwell there and be a haven for all who enter in.

I am moving too, thanks for asking. Should I put up a Mezuzah at the front door even if I am the only Messianic in the house? My parents don't mind.
