. . . may we each and all be reminded throughout the day and weekend, such observance is intended a reminder that Christ Jesus suffered and died for us, us who are never deserving of anything more than death and hell (for we were all representatively also standing there back then, adding our voices to the many, begging, “Crucify Him!”).
May this time further lead us to ponder the Heavenly Father’s request, His gentle Voice entreating and beseeching us to in turn die for Him; to allow our lives be crucified and buried with Christ; to “decrease,” as John the Baptist said is a “must”; to become a blank slate upon which the Holy Ghost might have further opportunity to write more of God’s Laws, and grant us more of God’s Fruits and Gifts and otherwise “manifold Graces”; with the hope of God in glory that we might become more like Jesus and overcome as He also had to endure and overcome—all by Grace and God’s Spirit alone, “so that no flesh should glory in His Presence.”
May each of you be blessed today and throughout the weekend, and be given a revelation of God’s high calling of you in Christ Jesus, His Peace and Love prevailing, amen.
