John 17:2
“Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.

What is this verse saying? does the father give before one comes to Jesus?
How does The Father give?
Thanks

I am curious as to why you asked this in this particular forum and not in the Coptic forum? I am happy to give my interpretation, but it will not be to the liking of many....the verse means what it says. :)

I just wanted an explanation to this verse from Wesleyan point of view.
It seems like this verse is teaching unconditional election. What is your explanation?

Being a Whitefield Methodist, I do believe that it teaches unconditional election. So, I will now bow out and let the Wesleyans address the question. Thank you for clarifying your intention. Blessings to you.
