You know how mainstream Jewish people don't know that Yeshua is messiah, well, not that I do, but how do we know that Mohammed is not the last Prophet sent from G-D? Again, I am not saying that I believe in Mohammed, or that I even want to (Islam scares me :o ), but I just want to know why we don't accept him as a prophet. Was he anti torah, or what? I know, kind of a weird question, but I just can't answer this one on my own. Thanks guys. And happy Purim!!!!

Mohammed created a religion based upon what he taken from the Roman Catholic monk, the Istar worship of His time, and through force and charisma created a uniting force under the name of religion. This is a God of force.....there is none but Allah...and all who do not believe that are worthy of death. This is not a religion to mess with. It hasn't sucked in the record level of believers without reason.
Please MJ.... learn of Yeshua... til you become like Him. For by beholding you become changed...and that statement is so true. If you are beholding Yeshua, you will grow and prepare for the world to come.

mohammud wrote and taught things that are in direct conflict with G-d's written word
Yeshua said there would come after Him many that claim to be, or claim to teach beyond, Him. He warned us to go no where near those.....

So Islam comes from Catholicism? How?
Shalom MJ,
It's been a while since I had access to this info but from what I recall, in their book of Hadeeths (accounts of the life of Muhammed and what he said and did) he had either a grandfather or wife (can't remember) who was a Christian. Muhammed also traded a lot with Jewish merchants who were present in the Arabic countries before being driven out. So you see a mixture in Islam of both Jewish and Christian doctrines.
But as Henny and others have said, some aspects of the religion seem the opposite of what we know. And what disturbed me the most was their End Times prophecy. It was the complete opposite of Matt 24 when Yeshua speaks of how we will know when He returns. Their Anti-Messiah will be seen all around the world but their Messiah is only seen in Mecca and Medina. It was also the complete opposite of Zech 14 (I think no Bible to hand) where the L-rd commands the nations to come to worship Him in Jerusalem and present offerings - that those nations who refuse the L-rd will experience famine. They believe that their Anti-messiah will instill famine on them for not worshipping them.
In answer to your original question, the Bible would have had clear prophesies referring to Muhammed if he was the last and final prophet as Islam claims. But none of the Prophets, Psalmists, nor the Gospel points to someone such as that. Our Books only point to the finality of Messiah.
Hope this helps

Muhammad- Islam's greatest "prophet". Because the Roman Catholic church wanted to rule from Jerusalem instead of Rome, the Vatican needed a military machine to kill the Jews and true Christianity. The Vatican chose the children of Ishmael (Arabs) to do this dirty work. Vatican spies chose Muhammad, a brilliant young man of the Quraysh tribe in Mecca, to be the leader. Khadijah, a beautiful Roman Catholic, was ordered to marry Muhammad. Khadijah's Catholic cousin, Waraquah, interpreted and influenced Muhammad's "visions", so when Muhammad declared that there was no god but Allah, and when he claimed himself to be the prophet of Allah, Islam spread like a fire.

By the time Islam emerged as the third religion of Abraham, Christianity was deeply rooted in Arabia, thanks to the Roman Empire there; there was also a large Jewish population as the lands were close to Palestine. Roman rule in this area had recently collapsed and the nation no longer observed their state religion; the land was split between Judaism, Christianity and Arabian paganism, still practiced in some tribes. There had been wars between the Jews and Christians in Najran and between pagan tribes in Yathrib: it was in this climate that Mohammed, the founder of the Islamic faith, was born. He travelled extensively in his youth as a trader and had much contact with both Jews and Christians; his wife's cousin, Waraquah, was a Meccan Christian credited by several sources as a gospel translator. These factors appear to have had a profound effect on Mohammed; in any event, Islamic faith is very close in many ways to both Christianity and Judaism.
