Hi everyone! Does one have to be a member in a Nazarene church to take communion? Also, does one have to be baptized? Are there any other requirements for taking communion in a Nazarene church? I plan on going back to a Nazarene church that I used to visit soon and plan on going regularly and just need to know. Thanks! :)

I have always been told and seen that in the Nazarene church you simply have to be a Christian to partake in communion. Baptism, membership are not pre-requisites, only that you have been washed in the blood and accepted Christ as your Savior.

Awesome! Thanks for that info! I think they may have communion on Sunday morning but I'm not sure if I'll go cause I want to go with my Mom to her church. :)

No, you do not need to be a member in the Nazarene Church to take communion, just a Christian. No you do not need to be baptized (most little kids in my church like 3-5 years old start taking communion and since we blieve each person must choose to be baptized you simply do not have to be) As far as I knw there are not really any 'requirements' as you put it, just that Jesus is your savior

The communion service was interesting today. We were having the adult's Easter presentation today and so communion was a part of that. Everyone went up, took a piece of bread and dipped it in the cup and that's how it went. I like doing it that way except it's a bit more messy than the traditional wafer and juice thing. ^_^ However, it was very spiritual cause it seemed to be closer to the way Jesus would have done it. :)
