Has anyone tried going to www.copticpope.org (http://www.copticpope.org) lately? Someone hijacked the site and now it has all this spanish writing in it. I pray it gets fixed soon.
God Bless.

wierd... it's portuguese by the way.
From what I gather it is a protest against the US and the war.

Thanks for the correction. Someone on another site said it has something to do with death and destruction, a little odd.

death and destruction from the war. I think they are accusing the US of doing this... presumably in Iraq although it doesn't spell that out explixitly.

Do you know exactly what it says? Can you read portugese? And if so, is it religion related?
God Bless.

I can read Spanish which allows me to understand much of this... I'll give it a shot.
"An Ideology, I want one to live!"
"The powerful can kill one, two or three roses, but never get away with an entire spring!"
We want a better world, we want peace, we want justice!!
As people suffer from hunger, so comes death and destruction! If we continue like this we will bring ourselves to extinction! Who could be so cruel? Could it be that we are born this way? Or could it be that this is simply fruit of the place we come from? That place where ruined things are normal and good things are rare? Where the people get used to the evil of humanity. Where the most powerful government in the world doesnt want to sign a treaty that will bring good for all for the simple fact that it would be the ruin of their economy. But if they are a major power in the world and nothing can shake them then how can a treaty that ALMOST EVERY country in the world signed ever hurt them? Well, if anyone has something to lose (in regards to their economy) that someone is the developing countries, and they signed for more than just a token (translator's note: as in "they signed for a reason, not just as a formality).
I was kind of shaky on this last part, but I think it's more or less as I've expressed it.
Then, obvioulsy, at the bottom, it says in English "Freedom to all people! Stop the War!"
Doesn't seem to be very religiously centered from here.

Thank you John, for the translation.
It bothers me that someone would take over my Pope's site and post this stuff. If they want to get their message across, I'm sure there's other ways of doing it. I'm just glad it isn't religious stuff that they are posting on there.
God Bless.

Elizabeth,
It's fixed now. I've seen stuff from this same group before, they hacked our Eparchial website a few months ago and one of the eastern Orthodox sites a few months before that - they seem to have a penchant for doing it to Eastern and Oriental websites, both Orthodox and Catholic.

Well I'm glad to see it fixed.
That's strange that they target the Eastern and Oriental sites. Maybe they have a reason or agenda.
God Bless.
