There is a thread like this in the prayer request forum and it's been a great blessing. The idea is you pray for the person above you or their intention and then ask for your intention to be prayed for. I thought it would be a good addition to the Chapel thread.

I'll start (as there's no one posting before me!) by praying for all who post on OBOB, especially those being received into the Church next week.

May the Lord strengthen them as they receive the sacraments for the first time and may their walk with the Lord be joyous and happy. May Our Lady and the angels and saints rejoice and pray for them on this great occasion.

I'd like to ask for prayers for my brother, who has just had to resign from his job for various reason; that he find a job soon that he will be comfortable in.

Also, be with his friend Carol who is in prison. May Your healing graces be ever upon her.

(I ask for prayers for my SIL who continues to battle cancer. And my uncle who is recovering in the hospital from recent surgery.)

Praying for her sister in law and her uncle who are sick. May the Lord bless them with His healing and strengthen them in their illnesses and help their families also.

Dear Father, your daughter Terri is in the care of others who can determine her fate. Please act on their hearts and minds, give them wisdom and courage to do what is right and ensure that in this case, your will for Terri and the many others like her, will be done. Praying for Terri, that you bless and comfort her and fill her with your peace. Remember her loved ones, who are suffering along with Terri and heal their lives where there is pain. From this injustice, let there spring an awareness of the suffering of many who like Terri, live with disability, and let the hearts of your people be softened, that we might always be ready to defend their right to life.
