I have heard of the Ethiopian Coptic church having always had the book of Enoch in their canon. What is the orthodox position on the book? Also is ganja accepted by the orthodox church as a sacramental and ritualistic herb?

It is apocryphal.

No, nor for that matter do I believe it is accepted by the Ethiopian Church. You may be aware that shortly before his death Bob Marley converted to the Ethiopian Tewahedo Church. I believe the Rastafarian community regarded this as a betrayel.

It is interesting that St. Jude quotes the Book of Enoch in Jude 14 -15.
I have a copy of Enoch at home but have not gotten around to reading the whole thing yet.

Militant atheists love that one BTW. I've run in to people who think that by pointing out that an apocryphal book is quoted in a canonical one that your whole faith system is going to collapse. Yawn.
Oh, and Maximus, you need to change your title and sig and just admit you can't escape TAW! ;)
