any chance of the red shield under our names being replaced with the crest. the crest has a lot more spritual significance than the shield - which is primarily associated with the charitable works that we do.
i did learn what all the bits on the crest meant when i was the trainee junior soldiers leader a few years back.
so how's about it?

It may be a problem to shrink it so small and still be able to see it. By all means copy my avatar if you like

I dont think the crest will be visible, or recognized by anyone other than a Salvationist.

To be honest, I've never seen the crest before, so it doesn't really mean anything to me.

I had the choice to get my badge at church with the crest or the shield.
Personally, I like the 'look' of the crest better, but I started thinking about the times I'd be wearing my badge out in the community, and realised that I'd be more recognised as a Salvo if I had the shield. So far that has proven true (a guy at church has the crest, and is often asked what that is by both non-salvos and salvos alike).
I like the instant recognition the shield gives us.

I wonder why it has to be either/or.
Why not both.
